Trent's precast specified on another prominent residential development
Following recent work on several prestigious residential developments in London and Newcastle, Trent's high-quality reconstructed stone cladding has again been specified for a prominent apartment building on the sea front in Bournemouth.
This latest contract reflects a growing trend towards the use of precast concrete on such high-profile, up-market residential developments. The high-quality and accuracy of the finish achieved through prefabrication could not be replicated by site work, and is more in keeping with the nature of the homes being built. Certainty of cost and programme is also an important factor in the construction of quality residential developments, where apartments are often sold in advance.
Trent will design, manufacture and erect a series of white, acid-etched reconstructed stone balcony panels, together with cill and capping units. Site delivery is scheduled for April 2002.
