Trent to clad new HQ for law firm Cobbetts
Trent Concrete has secured the cladding contract for Cobbetts House, the new headquarters for leading law firm Cobbetts, on Mosley Street in Manchester.
Trent's £693k contract covers 2500m2 of white acid-etched reconstructed stone cladding. The units include spandrel panels, typically 5.26m long by 1m high, wall panels 1.9m wide and 3.8m high, U-shaped column casings and plant room fascia panels.
Architects Sheppard Robson specified precast concrete having successfully worked with Trent Concrete on numerous previous projects, including a flagship data centre for Experian in Nottingham and the new Toyota (GB) headquarters in Epsom. Precast was specified on Cobbetts House to ensure a consistent, controlled finish that will create a modern surface reflecting the building's purpose as a flexible office building whilst also echoing the scale and proportion of its location on Mosley Street. The Architects also made maximum use of precast's mouldability to seamlessly incorporate fixings, drips, anchors and so on.
Trent starts on site in October on a 12 week programme.
