Reconstructed stone specified in lieu of natural sandstone
Architects Robinson Patterson changed the traditional cladding originally specified for a new office building in Donegall Square, Belfast, to a reconstructed stone panel system solution based on early input from Trent Concrete. This solution provided greater value for money and shorter programme times, whilst retaining the aesthetic feel of traditional natural stone.
Trent's contract covered 200 panels in a wide range of designs, including many one-off sections, in an acid-etched replica sandstone mix to complement the surrounding buildings in Belfast's main civic square.
